Bingo provides a friendly atmosphere that encourages the customer to come and share an afternoon of fun playing a game that all enjoy. A result of providing this service is income that assists the parish in meeting some of its financial obligations. Bingo is played weekly on Thursdays in the Church Basement with doors opening at 10:00 am. There are two sessions, Lightning and Regular. Lightning (fast) bingo is played 11:00 am to 12:50 pm. Regular bingo starts at 1:00 pm and is over at approximately 3:30 pm. Regular bingo consists of nineteen regular games, four specials, coverall, and bonanza. There is a staff of dedicated volunteers that come each week to conduct the games. While some work in all areas, the tasks are divided in two basic parts: The kitchen staff provides a delicious lunch that is enjoyed by the customer and the floor staff handles the operation and running of the games. Prayer Chain

Parishioners are invited to write their prayer intentions in the Prayer Link notebook kept in the back of church or to call the Parish Office with their requests for prayers. The head of the Prayer Link passes on the prayer requests to the people at the head of each prayer chain, who in turn call the next person on their chains, and so on, until a network of parishioners is praying for the prayer intentions. Prayer requests may be made anonymously, if so desired. Additional “links” on the prayer chains are always welcome. Contact Barb Warner at 419.868.1616.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Each conference serves the needs of the poor within its own parish boundaries. Some ways to become involved in the work of the conference are: taking a turn to answer the Saint Vincent de Paul phone line, stocking the food pantry, sending out Mass notices, working with the Prayer Link, going with another member to visit the home of someone requesting help, holding a collection basket, lending prayer support and attending meetings to offer opinions, support, and friendship. Members choose how often and in what way they would like to serve. Contact the Parish Office.
