CYO Sports

The sports program of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish provides all children in the parish with an opportunity to learn and develop skills in a variety of sports. The focus of the program is to provide a Christian atmosphere while encouraging valuable lessons of teamwork and good sportsmanship. We currently offer football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, soccer, track and field, and cross-country.

With Little Flower, both parishes co-sponsor the sports programs played by St. Benedict Catholic School students, but invite all children in our parishes to participate. Prior to the school merger, Little Flower’s mascot name was “Flyers” and Our Lady of Lourdes players were the “Lions.” Members of St. Benedict teams are the “Flying Lions.” For more information, contact Maureen Bishop at 419.531.1907 or email at mbishop@stbenedicttoledo.org.

Live Jesus Ministries

Junior high and high school students who commit to this ministry gather every other week at an agreed-upon time with a trained adult mentor. The group walks together, growing in holiness, through the challenges, joys, and questions of life and faith. Students can select their group and mentor, or the parish coordinator can help arrange mentorship.

We pray this effort will help young people develop authentic, meaningful, and holy relationships with God, the Church, their peers, and the adult faithful, leading them to become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.

Youth Group

This ministry is made of junior high and high school youth of the parish. We seek to help one another grow closer in a relationship with God, to understand His call to be of service to others, and to make our Catholic faith more real in our lives. We typically gather on the third Sunday evening of the month from 7pm - 8pm. During this hour, we pray, socialize, snack, and reflect on a relevant topic of interest.
